Day of Knowledge at the Faculty of Natural Sciences

This year, the Faculty of Natural Sciences opened its doors to more than 200 students and more than 120 master students attending the university holiday and faculty event dedicated to the Day of Knowledge.

Acquaintance with the university for the first-year students began with a faculty event, which introduced the history of the university. All freshmen were presented with commemorative badges with the symbols of the university and the faculty. In the welcoming speech, the Dean of the Faculty Natalia Matsai spoke about the history of her native faculty and departments, introduced the staff of the dean’s office and the heads of the departments. At the end of the event, a large family of the Faculty united in the performance of the faculty anthem, and then all together attended the university event celebrating the Knowledge Day.

The senior students of our Faculty helped to create a festive mood at the university event. For excellent work in the admission committee during the admission campaign – 2019, Karina Pagiria, a 2nd year student majoring in Medical Diagnostics and Treatment Technologies and Bohdan Miroshnik, a 3rd year student majoring in Secondary Education. Biology were awarded.

After that, in fresh classrooms, freshmen met with the heads of their departments, teachers, curators of academic groups and senior students, who in a friendly conversation spoke about the features of training in various specialties and student life at the Faculty. The student self-government headed by Olena Glushchenko also joined the meeting with freshmen.

At the end of the event, the Dean of the Faculty Natalia Matsai wished freshmen health, scientific and creative inspiration on the path to acquiring knowledge and practical skills.
