LNU has Become a Partner of the All-Ukrainian Action on Prosthetic of ATO Soldiers

All-Ukrainian action on collecting plastic bottles and lids to produce dentures for ATO soldiers has been started at the premises of the university.

Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University has become a partner of the charity fund “Oves” that is the founder of the action. Students, teachers and university employees participate in the collecting plastic for prosthetic of ATO soldiers. There are containers for bottles at the territory of the university campus. People from all over Starobilsk district are involved in the action.

According to the organizers, bottles and lids of any kind of plastic will be processed into pellets and used as raw materials for prostheses or will be on sale. The proceeds will be directed to make a prosthesis for a particular soldier.

The action is supported by the Ministry of Ecology of Ukraine. In addition to the social problem it is aimed to solve the environmental one. It is known that plastic products are decomposed for 100-1000 years!

We invite everyone who is not indifferent to join! One quality individual prosthesis needs 80 000 bottles with lids. If 500 000 persons a day passed one 1.5 litre bottle it would be possible to make an arm prosthesis.

We call on you to join , because the more volunteers will participate, the greater the number of ATO soldiers will get help.
