Ukrainian Weightlifting Championship

Ukrainian Weightlifting Championship took place in the city of Horodok, Khmelnytskyi region.
Students of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports successfully performed at these competitions and showed high results.
In the category of 73 kg, Oleksii Shkuratskyi (2nd year student majoring in “Physical Culture and Sport. Sport”) won the first place with confidence, showing a result of 286 kg in the biathlon. The second place in this category was taken by Vitalii Serhieiev (2nd year student majoring in “Physical Culture and Sport. Sport”) with a score of 285 kg.
In the weight category of 67 kg, Dmytro Kurdiukov (3rd year student majoring in “Secondary education. Human Health”) received a silver medal with a score of 257 kg in the double-event.
Bohdan Buriachek (3rd year student majoring in “Physical Culture and Sport. Sport”) in the weight category of 102 kg won bronze with a score of 351 kg (the sum of the biathlon).
This year, two weightlifters are going to enter our University. Tetiana Budnikova – 49 kg weight category, which in the combined biathlon raised the weight of 143 kg and won the bronze medal and set a record for Ukraine in the push with the result of 82 kg. Also, Tetiana received a ticket to the European Championship, which will be held in autumn. Tetiana Andriiashchenko fulfilled the standard of the Master of Sports of Ukraine. in the weight category of 76 kg.
