ICF Training Seminar

The Department of Physical Therapy, Ergotherapy and Human Health conducted a training seminar for medical and social workers on the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF / ICF-DH).

As part of the implementation of the action plan for the implementation in Ukraine of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF / ICF-DP), a one-day training seminar on physical therapy, ergotherapy and human health was held at the Department of Physical Therapy, Ergotherapy and Human Health implementation and use of the ICF and ICF-DP.

The International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health is a multipurpose classification that includes unified, standardized criteria for describing the state of health and related conditions. ICF is used by experts in the field of health, social protection and education to assess the health and functioning of an individual, to determine the degree of disability in the provision of interdisciplinary services (medical and educational, medical and social, correctional, developmental, rehabilitation and health, etc.).

The event was attended by 19 representatives of medical, rehabilitation and social institutions of the Luhansk region, in particular, the Luhansk Regional Resource Center for Support of Inclusive Education, KU LOTsRDI “Renaissance”, KU “Kreminna District Social Rehabilitation Center for Children with Disabilities”, Lysychansk Municipal Medical and Prevention Institute “Titov Central City Hospital”, Luhansk Regional Clinical Oncologic Dispensary. During the training, the participants reviewed the integrated biopsychosocial model of functioning and disability, the structure, codes and qualifiers of the ICF, the features of the practical application of the classification (creating a category profile of the ICF).
