Faculty of Natural Sciences Conquers Peaks in Science

FNS keeps conquering the peaks of success.

Scientific schools, postgraduate and doctoral studies work within complex department subjects. Faculty teachers and students take active part in the international scientific forums, get grants for scientific researches. By doing so, scientific resources of faculty are being improved.

So, senior lecturer of Department of Geography A. V. Bratishko got grant (Sepkoski Grants) of Paleontological Society of the USA. In 2014 – 2015 he undertook an internship at the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich.

Several times faculty students won the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiads and competitions of scientific works. In 2015 Oleksii Zadiesientsev (three-year student, “Geography” specialty) took the forth place at the All-Ukrainian Olympiad on Geography and his answers on public geography were recognized as the best ones.

It should be noted that today high-skilled teaching staff of faculty provides quality training of future biologists, geographers, ecologists, chemists and biochemists, geneticists, experts in forestry and park gardening in bachelor’s, specialist’s and master’s degree.

According to the Dean of Faculty of Natural Sciences Oleh Vinohradov, despite quite difficult situation, teachers and faculty staff managed to get educational process going, organize students, learn Moodle platform for remote education and provide students with a possibility to study in stationary mode as well.
