XIV Summer All-Ukrainian Universiade

The 14th Summer All-Ukrainian Artistic Gymnastics Universiade was held in Kyiv. Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University was represented by two teams – students of the ER IPES.

According to the results of the team championship, our team number No. 1, which was composed of Eduard Yermakov, Artem Sereda, Artem Kravchenko, Ilia Lukianenko, gave way only to the team of the National Pedagogical Dragomanov University and won silver medals.

The team number No. 2, which was composed of Dmytro Kolesnik, Bohdan Shkuratskyi, Dmytro Serdinskyi, Oleksii Robu, ranked the third place of the pedestal and received bronze medals.

In the individual standings in the amount of all-around Edward Yermakov confidently won, becoming the champion of the Universiade. Also in individual types, he won two gold medals in the exercises on the rings and on the parallel bars, as well as two silver medals in the exercises on the pommel horse and on the crossbar.

Artem Sereda won two bronze medals in floor exercises and pommel horse exercises.

According to the results of the performances, Eduard Yermakov won a ticket to participate in the XXX Summer World University Games, NAPOLI 2019 (Italy) as part of the national team of Ukraine.

A graduate of our Institution, Honored Worker of Physical Culture and Sports of Ukraine, Honored Coach of Ukraine – O.M. Gorin trained the winners and champion of the Universiade.
