Educational Center “Donbas-Ukraine”

On June 3, the educational center of LTSNU “Donbas-Ukraine” began its work.
Through the center, residents of temporarily occupied territories can enter the Ukrainian HEES and Vocational schools under the simplified procedure – without the External testing, a Ukrainian passport and a certificate.
The “Donbas-Ukraine” centers operate on the basis of more than 40 universities including displaced from the military zone or those located in the territory of Luhansk and Donetsk regions controlled by Ukraine. The center located in such cities as Bakhmut, Vinnytsia, Dnipro, Kramatorsk, Kreminna, Kryvyi Rih, Konstiantynivka, Pokrovsk, Liman, Lysychansk, Mariupol, Rubizhne, Severodonetsk, Starobilsk, Sloviansk, Toretsk. The educational center has been successfully operating on the basis of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University for the third year in a row.
The head of the educational center “Donbas-Ukraine” is Svitlana Kharkivska. “This year there are no significant changes in the work of the educational center. And I want to emphasize once again that all information about applicants is confidential, so there should be no fear for safety when moving to a temporarily occupied territory,” – Svitlana Semenivna notes.
So, to become a student of a Ukrainian higher education institution and use the program of simplified entry, you need:
- contact the educational center;
- submit an application and fill out an educational declaration;
- pass three entrance exams: Ukrainian language, history of Ukraine and the core subject (or creative competition);
- get a temporary certificate at the school assigned to the EC, which must be replaced by a state education document within three months.
The educational center of LTSNU will work until September 27, but in order to qualify for low-cost places, applicants must submit documents by a certain date. In particular:
Entry on the budget places for a bachelor’s degree:
- Reception of documents – until July 22 (up to 18.00);
- Entrance examinations – until July 2
- Admission – until August 1 (up to 12.00).
Entry on the budget places for a junior specialist’s degree on the basis of 11 grades:
- Reception of documents – until July 29 (up to 18.00);
- Entrance examinations – until July 28;
- Admission – until August 6 (up to 12.00).
Entry on the budget places for the junior specialist’s degree on the basis of 9 grades:
- Reception of documents – until July 13 (up to 18.00);
- Entrance examinations – until July 21;
- Admission – until July 29 (up to 18.00).
But if the applicants from uncontrolled territories do not have time to file documents by this time, they have the opportunity to enter the contract before September 26 and immediately after enrollment write an application for transfer to the budget. In previous years, most of those arriving from the Donbas took advantage of this procedure and received government orders.
