I sincerely congratulate the veterans of the Great Patriotic War, teachers, staff and students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University on the bright and joyful holiday, the 74th anniversary of the Victory over Nazism!

Many years have passed since the unforgettable May of 1945, but even today the majestic feat of the defenders and liberators remains an inexhaustible source of patriotism, faithful service to their people. Perseverance, courage and selflessness of the older generation on the battlefields and on the labor front in the name of victory over fascism is a true example of patriotism for posterity. Dear veterans, allow me to bow low to you and to congratulate you on a significant holiday. May your health grow stronger over the years, the festive mood, well-being and family harmony will always be near you.

We will always remember the price that our fathers and grandfathers paid for today’s peace in Ukraine, for giving the next generation the opportunity to live, bear and raise children. Let us bow our heads before the bright memory of those who gave their lives for a bright future, having departed to eternity.

On the anniversary of the glorious Victory, I wish you all good health, happiness and prosperity, love and respect, a clear sky and faith in the glorious future of your city and our native Ukraine! Peaceful sky to you and your families! Happy holiday!
