Days of Science at the ER IHIRSPS
8.5.2019
The Days of Science have already become a traditional scientific-popular event in the ER IHIRSPS.
This year, for the first time in the framework of this event, a student conference was held among students majoring in “Political Science”. The purpose of this conference was to attract students to research work and popularize modern scientific knowledge and scientific outlook among students.
The attention of the speakers was devoted to highlighting very diverse issues from the philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi, to the political activities of drug cartels. But the vast majority of reports were devoted to political analytics. Ethnopolitical conflicts, European identity, relations between Ukraine and NATO – this is only a small list of issues that were considered by students. During the discussions, a relaxed creative atmosphere reigned, a variety of opinions dominated, lively discussion and a desire to find the most acceptable solution to the problem and the active participation of all interlocutors.
According to the results of the conference, the following nominations were determined: “The best presentation”, “The best speaker”, “The originality of the presentation of the material”, “Active participation in the discussion”, “Prometheus of science”. The first place was given to the report and presentation of the 2nd year student majoring in “Political Science” Evgenia Krykun and the 1st year student majoring in “International Relations” Bohdan Kolesnikov “Features of the totalitarian regime.”
And although they say that the first attempt is not always successful, both students and teachers agreed that the event turned out to be interesting.
