Project “The image and the word of Kobzar in embroidered shirts”

Students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages visited the gallery of portraits and quotations of Taras Shevchenko.
This project was created according to the plan and the proposal of the author of the development of schemes (placed in the 4th album “Ukrainian embroidery”) by Hryhoriy Kisil – Honored Master of Folk Art of Ukraine, Laureate of the Regional Prize named after Panas Myrny, Laureate of the Literary and Art Prize named after Olena Pchilka, the teacher of the higher category, the teacher-methodologist of the Hadiach College of Culture and Arts named after I.P. Kotlyarevsky. He is called the “golden-headed” rector. He published 5 albums “Ukrainian embroidery” for their own designed cross-stitch patterns without the use of computer technology.
The project’s organizer and coordinator Kateryna Kalinichenko told the students about the project and the history of the creation of the exhibition’s paintings. The project involved 71 embroiderers from Poltava and Poltava regions. The purpose of the project is to unite all Ukrainians, immortalizing memory and conveying the greatness of the image and words of Kobzar. The image of Taras Shevchenko, his work, as well as the Ukrainian language, should become unifying and peacemaking for Ukrainians.
