Days of science at the Faculty of Foreign Languages

April 16 and April 17, 2019, the IX International Scientific and Practical Conference “Ukraine-China: Dialogue of Cultures” and the VI International Scientific and Practical Conference “Modern Trends in Oriental Studies” were held within the framework of the University Days of Science in Poltava.
The geography of the conference – participants from Ukraine is represented by 6 oblasts: Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Dniprovska, Zaporozhye, and Lugansk. The reporters at the conference were the scientists who came to Poltava from Turkey and China. Especially for the conference arrived from Minneapolis, USA Professor Andrei Romanovich Medvedev in whose language treasury is five languages - Japanese, English, French, German, and Polish. The results of their research were sent to the conference by foreign language teachers and scholars from countries such as China, Poland, Germany, Malaysia, Turkey, Jordan, and Iraq.
Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages addressed the guests to the audience. She pointed out that all the most of faculty members began their own path to the research activity from the days of science at the university. The reports of teachers and students were devoted to the actual issues of modern Oriental studies, modern linguistics, teaching methods of foreign languages and related sciences. In the spirit of the times were raised the problems on national-patriotic, civic and moral education of modern youth in Ukraine, China, Turkey, Japan and Arabic-speaking countries.
Important linguistic aspects of Chinese and Japanese were raised in the reports of such students as Glinenko AA, Konks DO, O. A. Peredera, G. A. Ovcharenko, A. A. Kolomoychenko. In the discussion of the reports, all participants of the event actively participated: students, lecturers and invited specialists, in particular. Teacher of Turkish from Kharkiv National University Skrazlovsky I.A., a Turkish scholar of Turkish language at the Kharkiv National University Alibekiroglu S., Ph.D. in Philology, Associate Professor Irfan Tosunjoglou from the University of Karabuk. Professor Medvedov A.R. and a scientist from China, Jaylee Wu, noted the importance of holding such conferences.
The results of the conference were raised by the head of the Chair of Oriental Languages Fedicheva N.V. According to her, the conferences made it possible to once again emphasize the urgent issues of Oriental studies, which nowadays acquire new characteristics. She stressed that the results of the conferences will be published and that the good tradition of holding such conferences will continue in the future. She also wished all participants a creative inspiration for further scientific work. All conference participants received certificates.
