District Basketball Championship

On April 19, the Starobilsk District Men’s Basketball Championship finished.

Seven teams have been fighting for the title of the district champion for 2 months. Among these teams was the combined team of our university.

The main burden of the game was borne by our leading players Dmytro Kartenko, Oleksandr Kava and Vitalii Kondratenko (IPES), Oleksandr Kulachko (FNS) and playing coach, teacher of SPHC Yevhen Reshetilo. From the first round, the university team led the standings and confidently finished.

There were six games and six wins. The most tangible game was against the team “Elevator” 106:26 and the team “Belokurakine” 101:34. Our team won the teams “Eaglet” -1 with a score of 68:41, “Eaglet”-2 with a score of 57:32, Novopskov with a score of 79:40 and in the final game the team of Polovinkino village with a score of 66:43. University basketball players sketched 477 game points into their opponents’ basket, conceding 216 points. It was the best result among all teams.

The second place was taken by the team “Elevator” and the third – the team “Eaglet-1”.

In the nomination the best scorer of the championship was our Oleksandr Kulachko. Vitalii Kondratenko was recognized as the best player of our team.
