International Scientific and Practical Conference

On the 18th of April 18, the III International Scientific and Practical Conference “Key Problems of Modern Germanic and Romance Philology” was held at the Department of the Romano-Germanic Philology of the Faculty of Foreign Languages.
Actually, the III International Scientific and Practical Conference was a reviving tradition that was started in our Alma Mater. The leading institutions of higher education in Ukraine and foreign institutions were the co-organizers: Primorskaya academy (Slupsk, Poland), Lanzhou Polytechnic Institute (Lanzhou, PRC), British Council in Ukraine (Kyiv, Ukraine).
The conference began with the greetings of the Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages S.O. Shekhavtsova and Head of the Department of Romano-Germanic Philology O.M. Byndas. At the plenary meeting, the speakers were O.I. Kobzar (Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor), as well as the Master’s degree student of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University from China – Jaylee Wu.
Several sections began their work after the plenary meeting: “Comparative studies of Romano-Germanic languages in the polylingual space”, “Discourse in intercultural communication: verbal and nonverbal means of communication”, “Cognitive science, translation studies and literary studies” and “Modern technologies of teaching foreign languages and the conditions of European integration”.
All participants had the opportunity to discuss reports and suggest solutions to the issues raised by the speakers. We are very grateful to the participants for their participation in the conference. We are looking forward to the next meeting!
