Vocational Guidance Work in the Poltava Region

In order to encourage and form a positive attitude of young people to higher education at the faculty of foreign languages, as well as enhancing the image of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, the school of the Poltava region was visited in village Kovalivka, among which are:

Kovalivka secondary school I-III levels, Poltava Regional Boarding School of  II-III Degrees named after A.S. Makarenko, in village Novoselivka – Novoselivka secondary school level I-III, in village Tereshki – Tereshki secondary school I-III levels, in village Shcherbani – public  establishment «Shcherbani Secondary School I-III levels»,  in village Rassroshentsy – public  establishment  «Rassroshentsy Gymnasium».

The dean of the faculty of foreign languages ​​Shekhavtsova S.О. and honorary professor of the University Shpetnaya S.A. met with the leadership of schools and students of grades 10-11. During the vocational guidance work, students learned about the unique opportunity to get higher education in the specialties (Spanish, French, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Turkish languages) that are not represented in other universities of Poltava, and the opportunity to study on the ground by order of the state. The Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​for 10-years students offered the opportunity to prepare for the successful completion of ZNO-2020.

The students were professionally informed about the directions of training and the specialties for which training is carried out at the faculty of foreign languages located in Poltava, the schoolchildren and teachers were informed about the rules for admission to the Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University and the regulatory and organizational documentation governing the introductory campaign in 2019. The lecturers of the university told about the organization of scientific activity and educational process in Luhansk Taras Shevchenko, living conditions and leisure.
