Ukrainian Junior and U20 Weightlifting Championships

The Ukrainian Junior and U20 Weightlifting Championships was held in the city of Kolomyia, Ivano-Frankivsk region.

After successful performance at the Cup of Ukraine, students of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports again won 2 gold medals.

Nadiia Levanzova – 1st year student majoring in Physical Culture and Sports. Sports in the weight category of 45 kg took the first place with the result of 104 kg (43 kg + 61 kg), having outpaced her rivals by almost 10 kg. Nadiia has become the Champion of Ukraine for the third time.

Oleksii Shkurskyi – 2nd year student, majoring in Physical Education and Sports. Sports in the weight category up to 73 kg took the first place with the result of 300 kg (133 kg + 167 kg) and set 5 records of Ukraine. Oleksii is already a five-time Champion of Ukraine in his weight category and he has already entered 250 points for the Luhansk region.

In the weight category of 96 kg, Viacheslav Bystriansky, 3rd year student majoring in Physical Culture and Sports. Sports took the 7th place with a score of 252 kg.

The coach-graduate of our University Konstiantyn Selivanov trained these students.
