Anniversary of the IHIRSPS

On March 29, the Institute of History, International Relations and Socio-Political Sciences celebrated its 85th anniversary!

On the occasion of the anniversary, the Institute of History members organized a gala concert in the assembly hall of our University, which was launched by Anton Bader, Director of the ER IHIRSPS.

The event began with a greeting from a graduate of 1982, and now the People’s Deputy, chairman of the Supervisory Council of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, Vitalii Kurylo. The Rector of our University, a graduate of the History Department in 1981, Serhii Savchenko also joined the solemn congratulations.

The freshmen were first who congratulated their native Institute. They prepared incendiary performances for guests. Stormy emotions, atmosphere of solidarity, a feeling of a family holiday filled the hall from the very beginning. In addition, their songs, dances and miniatures were prepared by the teams of 2,3 and 4 courses. Words of gratitude were heard from the stage to the native institute. The students sincerely welcomed the teachers, staff and each other with this joyful holiday.

The members of the “League of Laughter”, the team of the Institute “A sho, why not?” prepared their performance separately. They showed comic talent of the students of the Institute. The performance of the Olvian agitation brigade, which showed only a small part of the 50-year history of archaeological excavations in the reserve, was especially lyrical, but they made it possible for all “Olivians” to feel a slight taste of nostalgia.

The traditional congratulations of teachers caused the most delight. Teachers of the Institute Kateryna Kotelenets, Tetiana Ivchenko and Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work Leonid Vakhovskyi delivered musical gifts. The audience accepted happily the entertainer of the diverse teaching performance of Anton Bader and Ihor Zhurba.

The lectures of the teachers were continued by the original sketch of Alexander Naboki “Adventures on the History Faculty Areopagus”, performed in the style of traditional faculty propaganda teams of the 1970s and the 1990s.

And as always, at the end of the event, the legendary anthem of the Institute sounded. Each of those present felt part of the Institute’s family, which lives together all the joyful moments, multiplies them and remains forever young!
