“Problems of the Cost Approach in Determining the Market Value”

On March 28, the scientific and practical seminar-training “Problems of the Cost Approach in Determining the Market Value” took place. 

Teachers and applicants of higher education of the educational program “Commodity Research and Expertise in Customs” of the Department of Commodity Research, Commercial Business and Products Expertise (Educational and Research Institute of Commerce, Serving Technologies and Tourism of LTSNU), became participants in the scientific and practical seminar-training “Problems of the Cost Approach in Determining the Market Value”, which took place on March 28, 2019 on the basis of Poltava Scientific-Research Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

The scientific and practical seminar-training “Problems of the Cost Approach in Determining the Market Value” was held by Oleksandr Starikov – appraiser, emergency commissioner, member of the All-Ukrainian State Information Society “Ukrainian Society of Appraisers”, expert-appraiser of the public organization “Research and Development Center “Independent Expertise”.

During the scientific and practical seminar-training, the participants discussed the following issues of the program:

• The essence of the cost approach.
• Methods for determining the cost of reproduction.
• Methods for determining the replacement cost.
• Selected cases of the cost approach.

According to the results of the scientific and practical seminar-training, the participants did the following:

– formed, developed and improved personal, professional competence regarding the use of the cost approach in determining the market value, according to the above program;

– received certificates certifying the completion of training under the program of short-term professional development.

Specialists of the Department of Commodity Research, Commercial Business and Products Expertise (LTSNU) and the Poltava Research and Development Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the NGO Research Center “Independent Expertise” plan to conduct further joint scientific and practical training-seminars in various areas of scientific expertise.
