26.3.2019
Today, a teacher of the Department of Preschool and Primary Education, Director of the Center for Scientific and Methodological Support for the Implementation of the NUS Concept, Associate Professor Liudmyla Varyanytsia took part in the training “New Ukrainian School: Theory and Practice”.
The training was held on the basis of Nescheretivska Secondary School, and the participants were teachers and primary school teachers. At the beginning of the event, school teachers demonstrated what they had already learned after the implementation of the New Ukrainian School (NUS). They were able to show new teaching methods, including learning using interactive technologies, LEGO and much more. In general, the teachers shared their experiences, asked each other questions and answered them.
Liudmyla Varianytsia told about an equally important component of the NUS – critical thinking. She began with the simplest – the characteristics of critical thinking and the means of its implementation. Teachers were asked to perform various exercises that would help them better understand the essence and gain new knowledge on this issue. In the course of the game, teachers studied the thinking and behavior of the child during their studies. The goal of these games is to acquire skills that will help teachers form critical thinking of a child, the ability to critically perceive the thoughts of others. The event was held in accordance with a specific goal – to share the acquired knowledge with others for a happy future, the teachers received a lot of new knowledge and skills that will be useful to them in the learning process.
