Labor Education Olympiad

The fourth stage of the XXXVІІ All-Ukrainian Pupils’ Labor Education (Technology) Olympiad was held in the city of Chernivtsi from March 17 to March 22, 2019.

The chairperson of the jury of the Olympiad of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine was appointed the head of the Department of Production Technologies and Vocational Education of the Institute of Commerce, Serving Technologies and Tourism Viktor Burdun.

The final stage IV was attended by 79 pupils of 9th and 11th grades.

The final stage consisted of 3 rounds: theoretical, creative and complex work.

The theoretical tour included soling a specific problem and presentation it to the participants and jury members.

The integrated work included a combination of practical work using ICT. Girls of the 9th grade modeled and produced the “Travel Kit”, girls of the 11th grade made a banana bag. The 9th grade pupils modeled and manufactured the gadget stand, boys of the 11th grade created a passive speaker system for a smartphone.

Creative projects were made in accordance with the following tasks: technical types of work – cup stands (9 cells) and a creative table lamp (11 cells), serving types of work – marshmallows (9 cells) and roll (11 cells).

A jury team led by Viktor Burdun evaluated all the works of participants objectively and carefully.

According to the results of the competition, the best results were shown by the participants from Chernivtsi, Kyiv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. The team of the Luhansk region, which consisted of two participants, took the 11th command place. Anastasia Mishura, a 9th grade pupil of Severodonetsk Secondary School No. 10, received a diploma of the 3rd degree.

It should be noted a high level of performance and creativity of the competition participants.

The competition was constantly covered on Facebook on the “Forge of Talents” page. An auction of products made at the Olympiad was also organized. The money collected during the auction will be used to purchase materials and tools for the next Olympiad.
