“Sociology in (Post) Modernity”

Students majoring in Sociology took part in the ХVIІ International Scientific Conference of Students, Postgraduate Students, Doctoral Students and Young Scientists “Sociology in (Post) Modernity”.

Thus, with the support of the Primary Trade Union Organization of LTSNU, students majoring in Sociology (Institute of History, International Relations and Socio-Political Sciences) Daria Cherevata, Anna Surmai and Anastasia Tsymbalista took part in the XVIІ International Scientific Conference of Students, Postgraduate Students, Doctoral Students and Young Scientists. The conference was held on March 14-15 on the basis of the Sociological Department of the V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

The students presented their reports, in particular, Anna Surmai spoke about the Mapping economic life in print media in the occupied territories of Luhansk region. Anastasia Tsymbalista told the conference participants about Socio-economic changes in Severodonetsk after the start of the military conflict in Donbas. The presentation by Daria Cherevata “Non-verbal behavior of respondents during a standardized interview (based on the materials of the project “Mass Consciousness in the Zone of Military Conflict in Donbas”)” aroused particular interest of the conference participants.

The reports of the students were relevant in the work of the international conference and adequately represented in the scientific community.

The Directorate and University Administration will continue to promote the comprehensive, especially the scientific development of our students.
