Project “Learning together”

On March 15, one of the most significant events in the educational space took place in Kyiv. It was the presentation of the Finnish-Ukrainian project “Learning together”.
The event was attended by the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Lilia Grynevych, Vice-Prime Minister Viacheslav Kyrylenko, General Director of the Finnish National Educational Agency Olli-Pekka Heinonen, teachers and professors of higher educational institutions from different regions of Ukraine.
The Department of Preschool and Primary Education of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University has also joined this event in the person of the Director of the Center for Scientific and Methodological Support for the Implementation of the NSE Concept – Associate Professor Liudmyla Varianytsia.
At the meeting, the teachers of Ukraine discussed the most important aspects of changes in the education system, namely, in the field of primary education. So, Pavlo Hobzey noted that the modern school should be aimed not at the formation of a system of knowledge, but at the formation of a competent child’s personality on the principles of partnership pedagogy.
Liudmyla Varianytsia took part in the seminars that were planned during the event. Namely, at the seminar “How to train teachers for the implementation of the new curriculum” (coordinated by Olena Linnyk, Tuyya Lauren), a strategy was defined for training future primary school teachers and retraining practitioners. Olena Linnyk drew attention to the fact that there is a need for the reconstruction of educational programs of the specialty Primary Education in connection with the Signing of the Professional Standard for Primary Teachers.
Participants also had the opportunity to visit the exhibition of modern didactic equipment for the design of a “new” class.
