Ukrainian Gymnastics Championship

The Ukrainian Gymnastics Championship took place in the city of Kropyvnytskyi. 

At the competition Luhansk region was represented by eight athletes – students of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports. According to the results, representatives of the region showed excellent results both in the team and in the individual competitions.

So the team “Luhansk-1” consisting of Oleksii Robu – third-year student (specialty “Secondary Education. (Physical Education)”, Yevgen Yudkenov, Eduard Ermakov – fourth-year students (specialty “Physical Education), Artem Sereda – second (fourth)-year student with a reduced period of study (specialty “Physical Culture and Sports. Sports) won a silver award.

Representatives of the team “Luhansk-2” consisted of Ilya Lukyanenko – second-year student majoring in “Secondary Education.” (Physical Education)”, Artem Kravchenko, Dmytro Kolesnik – first (third)-year students with a reduced period of study, specialty “Physical Culture and Sports. Sports” and Dmytro Serdynskyi – second (fourth)-year student with a reduced period of study, specialty “Physical Culture and Sports. Sports”, became the bronze medalists of the competition.

The gymnasts also received awards in individual competitions:

  • Eduard Yermakov: silver medal – in competitions in all-round; bronze medal – in competitions on the parallel bars; silver medal – in the floor exercise.
  • Yevgen Yudenkov became the third in competitions on all-round; champion in the floor exercise and the bronze medalist in the exercises on the still rings.
  • Oleksii Robu – won silver in the vault.
  • Dmytro Serdynskyi – took second place in the competition on the parallel bars.

Congratulations to our champions and prize-winners of All-Ukrainian competitions as well as their coaches: Oleksandr Gorin – a graduate of our University, Andrii Khrustalev and Valerii Kupriyanenko!
