Women’s Futsal Tournament

On March 13, the Women’s Futsal Tournament was held at the University.
Fans saw the emotional football performed by the women’s teams. At the first stage, the teams held competitions in groups, and then the winners of the group tournaments played for the memorable prize.
The teams that took the second places in the groups played for the third place. All teams could claim prizes, but some futsal players lacked accuracy in the final stage and this affected the final result.
The first match in group “A” was held between the RCVE and the IPP-2. The team IPP-2 won with a score of 4:0. This victory was a serious bid for reaching the final. In the second match, IPP-2 played against IEB. The final whistle of this match fixed a 2: 2 draw. The match of the IEB – the RCVE had to give an answer, who would be the second team of the group and would reach the final. The victory of IEB with a score of 3:0 provided the second place of the team in the group. IEB and IPP-2 reached the final.
In group “B”, the “IPP-1” team beat the team of FNS with a score of 1:0 and later beat the ICSTT team with the same score. The FNS and ICSTT played a 1:1 draw. In order to determine the second team, both teams punched three six-meter shots. The players of FNS managed the shots better, that brought them to the second place in the group.
The teams IEB and FNS played for the third place. Students of IEB were more active and focused on victory. They won with a score of 2:0 and took the third place.
In the struggle for first place, the team of freshmen played against the senior students. An interesting tense struggle on the court brought pleasure to the fans.
The first half was unsuccessful. And in the second half, Diana Yashchenko’s accurate shot brought the senior students ahead. This goal decided the fate of the match. It was the victory of the IPP-2 with a minimum score of 1: 0.
As always, the teams were presented with the Cup, sweet prizes and certificates at the awards ceremony. Diana Yashchenko became the top scorer and Iryna Pliasulia was recognized as the best player.
