“Visual (Primary) Examination of Jewelry”

February 15, a scientific and practical seminar-training “Visual (Primary) Examination of Jewelry” took place. 

Employees of the Department of Commodity Research, Commercial Business and Goods Expertise as well as applicants for higher education majoring in “Commodity Research and Expertise in Customs” of LTSNU became participants of the seminar held on February 15, 2019 on the basis of Poltava Research and Development -Criminalistic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

The head of the Department of Examination of Precious Stones, of the company “EV.RO.LOMBARD “EV.RO.FINANCE LTD. and the Company” (Kyiv), the main expert of the public organization “Research Center “Independent Expertise” (the city of Poltava), Tetiana I. Drozd conducted a scientific and practical seminar-training “Visual (Primary) Examination of Jewelry.”

During the scientific and practical seminar-training, the participants mastered the following topics: properties of precious metals; jewelry alloys, ligatures; sample, types of samples, standardized samples for precious metals; stigma, stigma elements and its types, etc.

According to the results of the scientific and practical seminar-training, the participants formed, developed and perfected personal and professional competences, which further increase the efficiency of the visual (primary) examination of jewelry. Each participant of the scientific and practical seminar-training received a certificate (dated February 15, 2019), which indicates that they were trained under the program of short-term professional development.

O.A. Nesterenko, Deputy Director of the Poltava Research and Development Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Head of the Department of Automotive Technical Research and Forensic Research of Vehicles, gave T.I. Drozd Gratitude for the high level of professional skills, dedication, significant personal contribution to the formation and improvement of professional competence of the staff of the Expert Service of the Ministry of the Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

The Deputy Director of the Poltava Research and Development Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs O.V. Sakhnenko acquainted N.V. Omelchenko and T.I. Drozd with the work of the departments and sectors of the center, and at the meeting they discussed professional issues with the experts of the Poltava Research Institute.

The experts of the Research Center “Independent Expertise”, the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University” and the Poltava Research and Development Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs plan to conduct joint scientific and practical training-seminars in various fields of scientific and methodological support of commodity expertise.
