Results of the first stage of the Olympiad

The results of the first stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in the specialty “Design” have been summed up at the Institute of Commerce, Serving Technologies and Tourism.

The theme of the Olympiad was: “Ecodesign – Modern Challenges”.

The purpose of the Olympiad was to identify, select and support gifted students, develop and implement abilities, stimulate students’ creative work, improve the quality of training, enhance student learning, improve the educational process, and select participants for the second stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in the specialty “Design”.

The Olympiad included the following tasks: perform the best sign, emblem (monochrome and color solution) or a poster, printing, packaging using environmental materials, interior decoration elements, etc. on the theme “Ecodesign – Modern Challenges”.

The technique of execution was chosen by the participants of the Olympiad, that is, determined by the author (the task could be done in handmade graphics (watercolor, gouache, acrylic, ink, pen, felt-tip pens, pencils) or from various materials (wood, fabric, foam, glass, leather, beads, yarn, cardboard, colored paper, clay, etc.) and technical means, or using computer technology. The work format – A3 sheet of paper.

15 students took part in the competition. According to the results of the competition, the winners of the Olympiad were the following:

1st place – Veronika Mykolaenko , Olena Ivanova;

2nd place – Angelina Chepel, Tetiana Kurus;

3rd place – Anna-Maria Yampol, Daria Ushatova.
