University Administration meeting

Today the meeting of the University Administration was held. 

Issues about the organization of the work of the Personnel Department and ways to improve its efficiency were raised.

Having heard and discussed the report of the head of the Personnel Department V.A. Nikitenko, the University Administration noted that the Personnel Department of the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University” is an independent structural subdivision that reports directly to the Rector of the University.

The Personnel Department provides advice and explanations to employees and heads of institutes, deans’ offices, personnel departments, labor legislation and military service, oversees the development of job descriptions for officials and university workers, and carries out methodical advisory work on job descriptions. In addition, prepares copies of workbooks for registration of pensions, obtaining scientific degrees and academic titles, draws up service certificates.

Over the past four years, the Personnel Department has been working to fill vacancies on a competitive basis, provided answers to appeals from citizens, enterprises, institutions and organizations, officials, requests for information, requests from law enforcement agencies, requests from the state migration service, and others.

The Personnel Department constantly monitors new regulatory and legal acts related to personnel work; establishes and clarifies annually the scientific and pedagogical experience, seniority of officials and remuneration for long service; keeps records of persons liable for military service and conscripts and reservations of persons liable for military service.

The Personnel Department systematically submits reports on the availability of vacancies (form No. 3-PN) to the employment center in Starobilsk city including the information on employment of citizens who have additional guarantees in promoting employment.

At the same time, there are factors in the work of the Personnel Department that impede effective and successful work; in particular, a separate room is needed to store students’ personal files.
