Grant for equipment

Recently, the ER IPP won a grant for equipping the study room of the New Ukrainian School in the framework of the Council of Europe project “Internal Displacement in Ukraine: Developing Durable Solutions”.

On March 7, 2019, representatives of the Council of Europe visited the University to meet with the grant participants as partners and discuss various aspects of cooperation.

The meeting was attended by Dmytro Uzhchenko, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work; Olena Karaman, the Director of the Education and Research Institute, and Yaroslava Yurkiv, Associate Professor of the Department of Social Pedagogy.

The representatives of the Council of Europe were Lilja Gretarsdottir, Deputy Head of the Department of Independent Human Rights Bodies, Representative of the Human Rights Directorate (Council of Europe, Strasbourg); Anna Khristova, head of the project “Internal displacement in Ukraine: development of durable solutions” (Kyiv).

The partners discussed a number of social, educational, scientific and psychological problems of the University caused by internal displacement; directions of development of the university in non-standard conditions; ways of reintegrating young people from the occupied territories into the Ukrainian legal and educational space. They discussed the issues related to the start of the implementation of the New Ukrainian School in Ukraine, the training of teachers of the new formation for working in it.

Uzhchenko, O. Karaman, Y. Yurkiv expressed sincere gratitude to the representatives of the Council of Europe for their help in the material, technical and didactic equipment of the office of the New Ukrainian School according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine; creation of conditions for the training of primary school teachers and the retraining of practicing teachers for work at the New Ukrainian School. The greatest enthusiasm among the guests was caused by the new office, in which you can conduct not only training sessions, but also training work.

In general, the meeting was held in a creative and productive atmosphere. Finally, the guests presented gifts and expressed hope for further cooperation in the development of the oldest higher educational institution in eastern Ukraine, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
