I round of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad

The first round of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in the specialty “Secondary Education. (Physical education)” was held at the IPES.
The Department of Theory and Methods of Physical Education held the first round of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in the specialty 014.11 “Secondary education. (Physical education)”. The Olympiad was held to identify and support gifted students, develop and implement professional competence, stimulate students ‘creative work, increase interest in the quality of education, and enhance students’ learning and cognitive activity.
The best third-fourth year students and the first-year master students who are actively engaged in science took part in the competition. The future specialists were welcomed by the Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports Yu. M. Poluliashchenko, the head of the Department of Theory and Methods of Physical Education O.I. Sokolenko, associate professor A.P. Poltavsky, chairman of the jury of the Olympiad, associate professor O.V. Otravenko, teacher D.S. Pelypas, who drew attention to the importance of participating in research work as one of the components of professional training of future physical culture specialists.
Students revealed their creative abilities, demonstrated an adequate level of knowledge in the disciplines, originality of thinking, and sufficient theoretical and practical training. The final round was held in the form of a round table “Gender approach in the physical education of schoolchildren”. Students were awarded certificates of participation in the Olympiad.
Prize-winning places were taken by Oleksii Podybailo, Lina Bugayova and Valeriia Gorelova (the scientific adviser is O.V. Otravenko), who will take part in the second stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Kyiv.
The directorate of the Institute and the teachers of the Department wish the participants creative inspiration, success in science, further victories and new achievements!
