All-Ukrainian lesson of media literacy

Spring 2019 promises to be saturated. Pre-election races have captured the country and the information field of each of us. Sermons, promises, ratings … How to interpret and understand? Where is the truth to look?

March 1 at 15:00 at the same time hundreds of locations throughout the country held an all-Ukrainian media literacy class. The event was held at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. The coordinator of the lesson was the teacher of the Chair of Oriental Languages Gusakova Oksana Aleksandrovna. Students of our university learned to think critically, turn off emotions and make decisions with a cold head, separate the facts from judgments and look for true information.

The event was supported by the international organization IREX in Ukraine within the framework of the project “Explore and distinguish”, U.S. Embassy Kyiv Ukraine and British Embassy Kyiv.
