“Being media-informative is modern!”
2.3.2019
Students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages received a unique opportunity to take part in the training on information and media literacy “Being media-informative is modern!”.
The training was held on the 27th and 28th of February, 2019, by the coach, Olena Burim , who is a media educator, certified mediator trainer (DW Akademie (Germany), Academy of Ukrainian Press); trainer for IREX project coaches “Practical media literacy”, “Explore and distinguish: Information and Media Literacy”.
Today we all live in a crowded space of information and sometimes turn into passive media consumers. The students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages were able to understand whether they relate to information received from the media critically; whether they always make a decision in a balanced and rational manner; know how to not get into the hook of manipulation, distinguish between fake facts and feel safe in the infinite media space. This training was extremely engaging and useful for all its participants, because it is devoted to such a topic of today as media literacy.
We thank the trainer for the valuable information we have received and look forward to new appointments!
