Again without defeat!

The next sixth round of the Open Regional Table Tennis Team League took place in the Lugansk Regional Sports Center “Olimp”, the city of Kreminna.

30 teams from Luhansk, Donetsk and Kharkiv regions arrived at the competition. Let us note the base for the competition: a large hall, 11 professional tennis tables, a clear refereeing – such conditions for the competition cannot be found throughout the region.

So, the struggle for victory began at nine, and the results of the competition became known only after a nearly eight-hour tennis marathon.

During the whole tournament, our team didn’t have a single defeat and met in the final match with the team “Schastia”, which in turn also defeated all rivals.

Thus, prizes were distributed as follows: the third place was taken by the “Zenit” team (Severodonetsk), the second place was taken by the team “Schastia” and the tennis players of the team of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports became the winners. One should mention that the team of the ER IPES has five victories in six rounds.

The League lasts from September to May and consists of 9 rounds respectively. So, our team for the three rounds before the end of the tournament alone heads the overall standings. The institute’s team includes: Deputy Director for Academic Affairs P.Yu.Gordienko, master student majoring in “Physical Culture and Sports” A. Isakov, and a 4th year student majoring in “Sports” Yevgen Kozhemyakin.
