Teachers received apartments

On January 25, teachers of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University received the keys to their apartments in the city of Kreminna.

After the evacuation of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University in 2014, the question arose about the placement of the teaching staff at the places of residence of the university departments (Starobilsk, Kreminna, Poltava, Rubizhne). Thus, according to the order of the Luhansk Regional State Administration, the Department of Education and Science were approved expenditures in the amount of UAH 20 million for the purchase of a residential building to accommodate teachers and university staff. So, on January 25, teachers of LTSNU received the keys to their apartments in the city of Kreminna.

The guests came to the opening ceremony of the apartment building for teachers, who helped to create this dwelling. Olga Lishyk, Deputy Chairman of the Luhansk Regional State Administration for Social and Humanitarian Affairs, congratulated the teachers on this significant event in their lives, and Vitalii Kurylo, People’s Deputy of Ukraine, noted: “Thanks to the coordinated work of the governing bodies of the state, the support of the government, the regional state administration and the regional military – civil administration 16 families of university teachers received the keys to the long-awaited housing.”

Today the five-story house with a total area of 1409.8 sq.m. with comfortable living conditions has become a tenant for scientists and teachers of Luhansk region. Apartments in the house are completely different: one-room, two-room, three-room and even two-story. They determined housing depending on the composition of the teachers’ families. Hennadii Mohylnyi, the Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technologies, also received it: “Now I have an apartment, I am very pleased, and despite the fact that I need to travel 13 kilometers to get to work, which is much better than renting a home in the city of Rubizhne, where it is expensive and has no good living conditions. I am grateful to the management for my apartments.”

So, comfortable living conditions, which are designed for teachers of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, will help to establish a positive attitude to conquer new heights in the field of higher education, implement responsible tasks in the name of Ukraine and educate a generation of conscious citizens of our country!
