Handball team of LTSNU

Students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University took part in the competitions, devoted to the creation of the Student Handball League of Ukraine.

For the first time in our country there was formed the Student Handball League, in which university teams take part.

Teams were divided into four groups, where the first one included the Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Kirovograd, Kherson regions. The second group included teams from Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk, Transcarpathian, Lviv, Rivne, Ternopil, Chernivtsi, Khmelnytskyi regions. The third group included teams from Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv regions, as well as a team from the city of Kyiv. In the fourth group there were teams of Donetsk, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Poltava regions.

At the beginning of the competition, the games were held in 4 groups; then 2 teams went to the final part, where they played medals. The group games took place in the city of Zaporizhzhia, where our students represented the Luhansk region. It is worth noting the students of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports for their stability and the will to win, because they went to the final part, giving way only to the Zaporizhzhia players. The next game for our student team will be in May, during which players must show their strength in the fight for the Championship Cup.
