The Defence of Master’s Degree Paper and State Exams at Faculty of Foreign Languages

At the Faculty of Foreign Languages state examinations and defences of master’s degree papers were held.

From January 14 to January 18 at the Faculty of Foreign Languages of State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University” worked the examination commissions for the complex final examinations and for the defence of master’s degree papers for obtaining an educational degree “Master” in the specialties: 014 “Secondary education. Language and Literature (English)”, “Language and Literature (German)”, “Language and Literature (Chinese)”, 035 “Philology. Language and Literature (English)”, “Language and Literature (German)”, “Language and Literature (French)”, “Language and Literature (Russian)”, “Language and Literature (Chinese)”, “Translation” of full-time and part-time study forms.

About 100 master graduates passed exams, presented their research results and successfully defended master’s degree papers. All of them have been awarded an educational master’s degree in corresponding specialties.

The masters’ research was assessed by professional commissions consisting of Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages Shekhavtsova S.O., Head of the Department of Theory and Practice of Translation Perova S.V., Head of the Department of Romance and German Philology Byndas O.M. and Head of the Department of Oriental Languages Fedicheva N.V. who wished the graduates successful defence of their works.

Members of the Commission for Defence stated that undergraduate master students have profound knowledge of professional disciplines acquired during their study at the university.
