Stationary Weeks at the Faculty of Natural Sciences

The last for this year stationary weeks are successfully completed on May 23 at the premises of Kreminna Professional Lyceum.
Students of specialties “Biology“, “Geography”, “Forestry and Park Gardening” and “Ecology, Environment Protection and Balanced Nature Management” and faculty teachers came to the city of Kreminna for May session.
During laboratory and practical trainings future biologists conducted experiments in phytophysiology and during field practices on agrology, botany and zoology they were researching soils, flora and fauna of Kreminna forests. In addition, Department of Biology hold closing of “Science Days – 2015” on May 19. At the final session young scientists reported on three directions “Botany. Phytophysiology”, “Zoology” and “Biology Teaching Methods”. Also there were winners awarding.
Students of specialties “Forestry and Park Gardening” and “Ecology, Environment Protection and Balanced Nature Management” had field and production practices in ecology and forestry.
For the first time in recent years during the practice in hydrology students-geographers could study three hydrological objects – river, lake and bog. During field practice they found out the physiographic features of hydrological objects location, their morphology, development of river bed, reasons of formation of oxbow lakes.
Despite the large academic load, traditional for the Faculty of Natural Sciences “Health Day” was conducted during the session – with ceremonial parade and faculty flag, fireplace and cereal, guitar songs and a match “Students vs Teachers”, etc.
According to students and teachers, the session was busy, productive and interesting.
Faculty of Natural Sciences and department teachers wish students successful academic year ending.
