Victories of powerlifters

Representatives of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports took part in competitions of the Ukrainian Powerlifting Cup.

In the city of Kolomyya, Ivano-Frankivsk region (Ukraine) was held the Powerlifting Cup among all age groups, which became qualifying for the 2019 European Championships. Supporters of equipment powerlifting from different regions of the country gathered to participate in the competitions.

The right to raise the national flag of Ukraine at the opening of the competition was entrusted to two well-known athletes – a graduate of the ER IPES, Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine Oleksii Bychkov and a student of the ER IPES, master of sports of Ukraine Daria Rusanenko.

During the ceremony, the President of the Ukrainian Powerlifting Federation Sirazhutdin Bazayev presented Volodymyr Sayenko, Assistant Professor of the Department of Olympic and Professional Sports of LTSNU, with the certificate “Merited Coach of Ukraine”.

At this competition, students of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports gave the following results:

1st place in the weight category up to 72 kg – Daria Rusanenko, 1st year student majoring in “Physical Culture and Sports. Sports” (coach is Serhii Fedorenko), amount – 505 kg, record of Ukraine in this category (squats – 215 kg, Ukrainian record, bench press – 122.5 kg, Ukrainian record, deadlift – 167.5 kg);

1st place in the weight category up to 83 kg – Artem Rybalka, master student majoring in “Physical Culture and Sports. Sports” (coaches are Oleksii and Alena Bychkovy), the sum is 767.5 kg (squats 305 kg, bench press 212.5 kg, deadlift 250 kg);

1st place in the weight category up to 93 kg – Kostiantyn Musienko, master student majoring in “Physical Culture and Sports. Sports” (coach is Serhii Fedorenko), total – 953 kg (squats – 335 kg, bench press – 318 kg, Ukrainian record, deadlift – 300 kg);

1st place in the weight category up to 105 kg – Danylo Kovalev (coaches are Oleksii Bychkov, Volodymyr Sayenko), total – 1027.5 kg (squats – 402.5 kg, bench press- 305 kg, Ukrainian record among juniors, deadlift – 320 kg).

Danylo Kovalev became the winner of the Ukrainian Cup in the overall standings (according to Wilks formula) among men, and Kostiantyn Musienko became the silver medalist, Artem Rybalka – the winner among juniors, Daria Rusanenko – the winner among women.
