St. Nicholas Day

Our students visited the Department of Social Rehabilitation of Children with Disabilities and Children at Risk of CU “Tertsentr”.

On December 18, students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University with the support of the Student Social Service and the Red Cross Society of Ukraine visited the department of social rehabilitation of children with disabilities and children at risk at CU “Tertsentr”.

On the eve of the celebration of St. Nicholas Day, students of LTSNU congratulated children with disabilities, having arranged a real holiday. First, teachers with children showed a master-class on making gifts for St. Nicholas, in which our students participated. The performance of student actors was accompanied by various games, competitions and round dances. So, one of the most interesting contests was drawing a New Year Tree with colors, all participants of which received a prize.

At the end of the performance, the children recited poems to St. Nicholas, who gave them sweet presents. The children greeted the guests and willingly played all the games offered by the heroes of the sketch.

Such charitable events volunteer students spend not the first year. Every year they visit similar places and give their love and care to children.
