The Honorary Title to Luhansk Citizen

A title of Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine was assigned to the Prorector of LNU Dmytro Uzhchenko.

The title was assigned by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko as was noted in his Decree on the official website of the Head of State.

Dmytro Viktorovych received state award for the implementation of European standards to the educational process of the university. This is a longstanding work which requires continuous improvement, they noted at the university.

“For 7 years of Dmytro Uzhchenko’s work the university has made important steps to reform the educational process, taken part in the program of independent evaluation of the European Association of Universities, created his own system of education quality standards based on the European experience,” – noted LNU Rector Serhii Savchenko.

In addition, the university told about other achievements of Prorector. Last summer he with other heads of LNU tried to save the university to the last. Despite this, Uzhchenko believes that their actions does not have anything extraordinary, he says they did what they should. However, university staff thinks the other way.

“Our leaders did a great job. Thanks to them, the university managed to keep important documents which helped to restore the university in evacuation. They risked their lives every day for our alma mater and this really deserves respect” – says the Head of Department of Analysis and Strategic Development of LNU Mykola Semenov.

Awarding with pin has not been conducted yet. The date of the ceremony has not been established for the moment.
