On December 13, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University held a briefing with the People’s Deputy of Ukraine Vitalii Semenovych Kurylo.
The briefing was attended by students of the Educational and Research Institute of History, International Relations and Socio-Political Sciences. The discussion brought important issues that bother students and teachers. One of these was the issue of political and legal regulation of martial law. When answering, Vitalii Semenovych focused on the reasons for the introduction, the peculiarities of its implementation and the possible consequences.
During the discussion of the socio-economic development of the Luhansk region, the People’s Deputy of Ukraine raised the question of specific ways to solve the problems of unemployment, labor migration and the economic crisis. He acquainted students with certain provisions of the new legislation.
Another topic for discussion was the implementation of the reform on the decentralization of power in Ukraine. According to Vitalii Kurylo, during the last three years, the most successful community building reform, which really works, helps to improve the economic situation in the region.
The students were most concerned with the problem of finding employment and the further realization of themselves as a professional in their field. The People’s Deputy in response noted that each of the young specialists would have the opportunity to work in their own specialty. Speaking about the prospects of our University Vitalii Kurylo stressed: “The prospects of the University depend on the military-political events in Ukraine as well as depend on you [our students], because you are our support and our future.”
