In the Beauty Industry

On December 11, a scientific-practical seminar “Newest Technologies of Teaching in the Beauty Industry” was held.

The organization of scientific events on the basis of the Poltava University of Economics and Trade, together with the Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, has become a good tradition. Thus, the teachers of the Design Department of Educational and Research Institute of Commerce, Serving Technologies and Tourism prepared and conducted a scientific-practical seminar “Newest Technologies of Teaching in the Beauty Industry”.

The opening of the event began with the welcoming speech of the Director of the Institute Viktor Drel. He congratulated the participants of the seminar and stressed the importance of such an event both for the exchange of practical experience in the application of advanced scientific achievements in the beauty industry, and for training of students majoring in “Hair Design and Make-up Arts”.

The program of the seminar included work in two directions: theoretical (reports and viewing presentations) and practical (using innovative technologies of the Beauty industry and conducting master classes in hairdressing, manicure, and cosmetology).

In addition to the ER ICSTT, the seminar was attended by teachers and students of such educational institutions as Bryanka College of LTSNU, Vinnitsa CPU services, Kyiv VPU, Dubna College of Culture and Arts, Kryvyi Rih Training and Production Center, etc.

The special attention of the seminar participants was attracted by the reports of Yevgen Karuna, the 2017 champion of Ukraine on hair styling in the men’s nomination and Olena Kalytka, the 2017 champion of Ukraine on nail modeling, the author of the unique nail art programs.

 “Such events need to be organized in the future, as the participants of the scientific-practical seminar have the opportunity to hold interesting discussions on professional issues and introduce something new in their activities,” Anna Ovcharenko, head of the Design Department of the ER ICSTT said.

At the end of the seminar, participants were presented with personal certificates.
