Following the strongest teams, the New Year’s Father Frost Cup was also played by the teams of the second league.

Some teams were formed from several structural subdivisions, but all were united by one thing – the desire to improve their skills in playing football and the desire to move to a stronger group in the next year.

In general, the fans were delighted with the game of these teams. Passions and emotions were seething on the field; the desire of both teams to win was felt.

We can say that the team of the Regional Center for Vocational Education became a discovery. A careful selection of players was carried out by their teachers Angelika  Grishina and Tetiana Popelnuha. As a result of this work, the team of the RCVE team rose to the highest level of the podium, winning the Father Frost Cup. Thus, they will have to show their strength in the group of the first league.

On the way to victory, the RCVE players beat the ICSTT team with a score of 6:3 and “Fenix” – the team of FUPSC, ICSTT, FNS and College of LTSNU with a score of 3:2. They also played well in the final; first they beat the “N-one” team of the IEB in a tense duel with a minimum score of 2:1. And in the main match they met again with “Fenix”. Two quick goals within one minute by Denis Sukhoruchenko and Bohdan Sidorenko gave the team confidence and positive mood, and also had a good influence on the outcome of the meeting. In the second match, the team of RCVE scored three more goals, although they missed one goal in their gates. It was a well-deserved victory in the match with a score of 5:1.

The teams “N-one” and College of LTSNU played for the third place. As a result the team of College of LTSNU won with a score of 5:2.

The top scorer of the tournament with eight goals was Bohdan Sidorenko, and the best player was Valerii Golovach, both players of the RCVE.
