The Third All-Ukrainian Student Scientific and Practical Conference

On November 28, 2018, the Third All-Ukrainian Student Scientific and Practical Conference “Romano-Germanic Languages in the Modern Intercultural Space” was held at the Faculty of Foreign Languages.
It was organized by the Department of Romance and German Philology of the “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University”. The conference was attended by students of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Igor Sikorsky”, Kyiv National Linguistic University, Khmelnytskyi Humanitarian Pedagogical Academy, the V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Mariupol State University, Zaporizhzhia State Medical University, Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University, Kherson State University, Kharkiv Humanitarian Pedagogical Academy, Poltava V.G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University, Vinnytsia Institute of Trade and Economic and others.
The conference started with the greetings of the Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages Shekhavtsova S.O. The ceremonial beginning of the conference was continued by the greetings of the Head of the Department of Romano-Germanic Philology Byndas O.M. The topics such as the phenomenon of euphemism in the English-language television discourse, the preconditions for the formation of subjectivity of students in foreign language lessons, and a corpus-linguistics based approach on Bible study were discussed at the plenary session.
After the plenary session, the sections began their work, during which the participants had the opportunity, in the form of a dialogue, to discuss the problems that were covered in the reports, as well as to suggest ways to solve further scientific researches of young scientists.
At the end of the Third All-Ukrainian Student Scientific and Practical Conference, certificates were handed out to the participants personally. The Department confidently continues the tradition of conducting student scientific and practical conferences at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and wishes the participants new scientific achievements, perseverance and new interesting studies!
