Dedication to Students

On the eve of the International Students’ Day at the University, it has already become a tradition to hold a “Dedication to Students” at the Institute of Physical Education and Sports.

The honored guests gathered in the assembly hall of the Kreminna Vocational Lyceum: the Rector of the Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University Serhii Savchenko, Assistant to the People’s Deputy Vitalii Kurylo V.N.Kladko, Director of Fitness Center “Olimp” Yu.V.,Ischenko Director of SHVSM A.V. Klimenchukov, honored workers of physical culture and sports of Ukraine, honored coaches of Ukraine including A.N. Gorin (Gymnastics) and S.M. Bazin (Cycling), as well as representatives of educational institutions of the Kreminna district.

Yurii Poluliashchenko, Director of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. He wished the first-year students to bear the title of a student of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports, to increase the traditions and achievements of our University.

In the program of performances, each group of freshmen presented their specialty. Participants coped with this task excellently.

The senior students congratulated the freshmen with the dances and performances. According to the tradition, the second-year students handed over a symbolic student card to freshmen with best wishes.

Separate vocal greetings were from the College of the Luhansk State Academy of Culture and Arts performed by Lia Nazar’ko and Mariam Makharramova.

Traditionally, according to the results of 2018, there were awards in the following nominations: “The Best Academic Group” – the 3rd year “Secondary Education. Physical Education”; “The Best Sports Group” – 3rd year “Physical Culture and Sport.s Sports”; “Socially Active Group” – specialty “Secondary Education. Human Health”.

In the nomination “The Best Student”, 4th year student of the specialty “Physical Therapy, Ergotherapy” was awarded Viktoria Volodina, “The Best Athlete” – 3rd year student majoring in “Physical Education and Sports. Sports”, Vitalii Kondratenko, “The Best Headman”- 3rd year student majoring in “Secondary Education. Physical Culture” Lina Bugaeva.

The holiday ended with the traditional oath of first-year students who promised to worthily carry the title of a student at the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports.
