Triumph at the World Championships

The national team of Ukraine, which included graduates of LTSNU, showed excellent results at the World Powerlifting Championship.

The Championship was held in Halmstad, Sweden. Our team won four golden, two silver and one bronze awards. It took the first team place! Such an achievement of the national team of the country. The graduates of the Institute of Physical Educational and Sports contributed to this success.

The Master of Sports of Ukraine, World Class, Mykola Barannik from the city of Rubizhne (a graduate of the Magistracy 2018, specialty “Sports”), won the silver championship award in the sum of the triathlon 910 kg. With a score of 345 kg, Mykola won a small gold medal in squats, a silver medal in bench press – 272.5 kg, and recorded 292.5 kg in deadlift.

The hero of the fifth day of the World Championship was another graduate of the Magistracy of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports Oleksii Bychkov from the city of Kramatorsk in the weight category up to 120 kg.

Only in squats, the athlete lost in his weight category to the first step of the pedestal, having conquered 415 kg. In bench press, Oleksii fixed 330 kg, and 370 kg in deadlift, that brought him another small gold award and the fourth title of World Champion!
