“Hello, We Are Looking for Talents”

The long-awaited event “Hello, We Are Looking for Talents” took place at the Institute of History, International Relations and Socio-Political Sciences.
One of the brightest traditions of the History Faculty is holding of the competition “Hello, We Are Looking for Talents”. During the event, first-year students demonstrate their artistic abilities. So, after a long and tense preparation, students showed the audience their concert performances and presented the audience with a friendly atmosphere of celebration and unity.
The performances of the participants were evaluated by the respected jury, consisted of Leonid Vakhovsky, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work; Yuliya Nuzna, Deputy Director for Educational Work, Igor Zhurba, Deputy Director for Social and Humanitarian Work, and Daria Cherevata, chairperson of the student self-government of the Institute. Throughout the event, they closely followed each performance and evaluated the work of students objectively.
Freshmen were divided into teams including: “Secondary Education (History)” and “International Relations”, “Political science”, “Social work”, “Sociology”. With love and irony, students focused on the eternal problems that concern the youth, illustrating modern life and amazed those present with creative talents.
While the hall was expecting results, Artur Onishchenko and Valeria Surina sang the songs, and the dance group of our University showed a choreographic composition.
The most exciting part of the event was the awarding of teams. The first place was shared by students specializing in “Political Science” and “Social Work”, the second place – “Secondary Education. History” and “International Relations”, third place – “Sociology”. All teams received sweet gifts from the Trade Union Organization of LTSNU. According to the tradition, at the end of the event, all those present sang the anthem of the Institute.
