Patents for utility model

The Department of Commodity Research, Commercial Business and Products Expertise of the ER ICSTT received Ukrainian patents for a utility model.

At the present stage of development of society, the important problems remain the quality and safety of food products and food raw materials, taking into account appropriate regulation by the state, the formation of a market for relevant groups of food products, including group and internal group assortment.

A special place is occupied by organic products, the share of which in our country is gradually growing and contributes to the expansion of the trading network, requires finding systems for identifying relevant products, justifying systems for selecting target markers and identifying them, ensuring proper conditions and observing storage periods, eliminating falsification and deterioration. Commodity specialists should be able to assess consumer preferences of eco-products, select or highlight strong arguments in its advantages over traditional food products.

The efforts of specialists should be directed to the search for innovative ways to improve the recipe composition, improvement of production technology, expanding the range of food products of high nutritional and biological value, especially targeted and health purposes.

To this end, students and scholars of the Department of Commodity Research, Commercial Business and Products Expertise of the Educational and Research Institute of Commerce, Serving Technologies and Tourism, in accordance with the directions of the complex scientific theme of the Department for expanding the range of domestic products, continue to develop new types of target products using non-traditional plant materials with a high content of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and other valuable biologically active substances.

As a result, in 2018 the Department received Ukrainian patents for utility models:

• Patent of Ukraine for utility model No. 127935 Ukraine, IPC, А23Q 3/36 (2006.01), “Candy for athletes “Olimp”;
• Patent of Ukraine for utility model No. 127936 Ukraine, IPC, А23L (2006.01), Functional composition “Olimp” for special foods (for athletes).

The practical importance of development is important to ensure quality and safety in the field of sports nutrition. The prescription composition of new types of products for athletes has been developed and scientifically based according to the modern nutritional regulations and nutritional characteristics of athletes, using the methods of mathematical modeling, and taking into account the results of experimental studies.
