Participation in competitions

On November 7, students of the College of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University took part in competitions.

Namely, they participated in the first stage of the XIX International Competition in the Ukrainian language named after Petro Yatsyk and the IX International Literary Competition named after Taras Shevchenko, holding which contributes to enhancing the prestige of the Ukrainian language and literature among the younger generation, raising the level of common linguistic culture, love for their native land.

Today there is not a single Ukrainian, both in Ukraine and abroad, who have not heard the name of Petro Yatsyk and Taras Shevchenko.

In recent years, the number of participants in the competition is about 5 million people from more than 20 countries of the world. Therefore, students of our higher educational institution with a sense of pride and satisfaction completed the task, showing a high level of proficiency in their native language.

Prizes in the Contest named after Petro Yatsyk were taken by Maryna Melezhyk (specialty “Primary Education”, 2nd year) – 1st place, Yaroslava Vynnyk (specialty “Hotel and Restaurant Business”, 1st year) – 2nd place; 3rd place was shared by the second-year students majoring in “Information, Library and Archival Studies” Ksenia Oliinyk and Lyudmyla Cherkasova.

The winners of the Literary Contest named after Taras Shevchenko are Yaroslava Vynnyk (specialty “Hotel and Restaurant Business”, 1st year) – 1st place, Maryna Fedorenko (specialty “Primary Education”, 1st year) – 2nd place, Valeria Surina (specialty “Primary Education”, 1st year) – 3rd place.
