“Handmade”

For the second year in a row, teachers of the ER ICSTT have been invited to join the jury of the regional competition of children’s creativity “Handmade”.

The Starobilsk House of Children and Youth unites the active and creative youth of our city. Pupils of secondary schools of Starobilsk and Pidgorivka took part in the first stage of the regional competition of children’s creativity “Handmade” Cup, which was held to find and support children’s talents, promote the creative achievements of students, improve the professional level and creative skills of teachers.

The seven-eight grade pupils attended the competition. Participants demonstrated their skills in various techniques: origami, scrapbooking and sewing. The youth prepared creative projects in advance, and presented them at the event. Participants were able to demonstrate their knowledge during the quiz “Scrabble Handmade”, where the team received 1 point for each correct answer.

The pupils’ skills were assessed by a competent jury composed of the Deputy Director for Social and Humanitarian Work of the Educational and Research Institute of Commerce, Serving Technologies and Tourism Mykhailo Chumak and an employee of the Design Department Viktoria Savinova.

At the end of the event, the teams that won prizes received certificates.

After the awards ceremony, the chairman of the jury, Mykhailo Chumak, addressed the participating teams, their teachers and the organizers of the competition. Separately, the importance of this kind of creative interaction with the younger generation, support in students of the desire to create the world of beauty and creative fantasies was emphasized. Mykhailo Chumak expressed a wish not to leave the path of creative development and develop further. “It will remain just a hobby for someone. But we are happy to see those who want to grow out of their hobbies into a professional in their field in the friendly student family at the Institute of Commerce, Serving Technologies and Tourism. After all, our University has all the conditions for the professional development of talented young people, their creative growth and support for talent to create beauty,” – the teacher said.
