Access to electronic scientific databases Scopus and Web of Science is open

Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University got access to electronic scientific databases Scopus and Web of Science.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine announced the list of higher educational institutions and scientific institutions that are under the administration of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, which have access to electronic scientific databases Scopus and Web of Science (Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 1213 of 06.11). 2018). This year, 135 higher educational institutions and scientific institutions that belong to the field of government of the Ministry of Education and Science, including our University, gained access to the scientific base of Scopus, and the Web of Science.

Recall that Scopus is a bibliographic and abstract database and a tool for tracking the citation of articles published in scientific journals. Its developer and owner is Elsevier Publishing Corporation. The database contains more than 50 million abstract records, its rubricator has 27 basic thematic sections. Scopus indexes more than 18,000 titles of scientific publications (scientific journals, conference materials and serial book editions).

Web of Science is the platform, which contains the information products of Clarivate Analytics. The main product is a polythematic abstract bibliographic and scientometric database of the Web of Science Core Collection. It indexes more than 18,000 journals (including more than 12,000 journals with impact factor), as well as more than 70,000 titles of conferences and more than 71,000 scientific monographs. The total volume of records is over 64 million. The database contains information on publications and citations for more than 115 years.

We invite scientists, teachers and university staff to work with the scientific content of the Scopus and Web of Science databases. From now, everyone can access them from any computer connected to the local network of our University.
