Excursion to the Museum of Local Lore

On November 1, the first-year students of the ER ICSTT visited the Luhansk Regional Museum of Local Lore in the city of Starobilsk.

The museum staff conducted a tour of thematic halls for students. The youth saw the exposition “Starobilsk – District City”, learned about the history of creation and development of the city, as well as ethnography and fauna of the area.

But despite this, the exhibition devoted to the events of the ATO “Rebellious Donbas: The Road to Peace” attracted the most attention of students. The exhibition is constantly updated with new exhibits and memories of the direct participants in the tragic events that occur in recent years on the territory of our region. Students saw weapons dummies, ammunition, photos that most convey the harsh atmosphere and difficult conditions in which our defenders find themselves every day during the fight against the insidious enemy. This did not leave anyone indifferent during the tour.

The students expressed their gratitude to the museum staff for their important and painstaking work that they do every day to preserve our history and past and present events. It is knowledge of one’s own history that gives young people and society the right to move forward.
